OUR PHILOSOPHY

BELLA FIGURA USA is committed to supporting and showcasing artisans that are dedicated to excellence in their craft. The majority of our producers are small, family owned businesses, many run by women.

We resolutely believe in fair trade principles, and whenever possible we take great pleasure in carrying products that are eco friendly and promote a worthy cause. Case in point: the delightful Escama handbags are made of recycled materials and crafted by women's cooperatives in Brazil.

We believe that individually, and as a company we are obligated to make positive contributions to our communities and society at large. To put this belief into action, several times during the year, we will alert you regarding a charity that's been chosen to receive a percentage of sales made during designated dates. It is one small way for us to back our words with deeds.

So far in 2008 BELLA FIGURA USA has had the pleasure of donating items for charity auctions benefiting The Blessed Sacrament School of Alexandria, Virginia, and The Embassy Series of Washington, D.C. We were also delighted to participate in the GRAMMY Awards in Los Angeles by donating a percentage of sales made during GRAMMY week to MusiCares, the charitable arm of the GRAMMY organization. And we thank all of you for participating with us in these very worthwhile causes.
